Lets know some uses of this Kambu or
Pearl millet in english
The main first advantage what i felt is constipation because today generation most of them facing as a main issue in kids,adults and aged people too its all because of fast and junk foods and unhealthy adulterated foods what we are inlcuding in our life style .This kambu really helps the emptying the bowel movement with hardened faeces freely without any pain
It helps in weight loss as it is full of high fibers
Kambu as it full of minerals and vitamins that keeps the hair and skin healthy: 100gms of bajra contains around 12gm of protein, 42 mg of calcium and 8 mg of iron.It is best for diabetics and controls blood sugar well so you can avoid the diabetics if you regularly inlcude in your diets foods
People who want to be healthy inlcude kambu as paniyaaram or dosa or as chapathi or roti or as pongal
Ingredients :
Sour Dosa batter or paniyaram batter 1 cup
Kambu Flour 2 cup
Karupatti according to ur sweetmess
Grated coconut and broken cashewnuts,cardamom(Yelakaai) powder(optional)
Ghee or gingelly oil
Rava 1 teaspoon little bit is enough
add small size karupatti like chocolate chips to this batter it melt and gives some taste effects
1 teaspoon of sugar
Ghee gives good flavor for this paniyaaram
Take a vessel add Kambu flour ,rava and karupatti.mix well dry.
Now add dosa batter to it along with a pinch of salt and sugar.beat and mix well
You can prepare instantly or wait for 5 -10 mins to make the batter set
In this meantime take paniyaram pan pre heat with oil or ghee and spread the ghee or oil on the paniyaram hole well as karuppatti sticks more u have spread ghee or oil well and little bit more
when its lightly pre heated started to pour the batter.start from corner holes and finish to center holes because center holes cook fast so start from outer to inner then all cook on even timings.
When one side cooked partially and just reverse using a paniyaaram pin or wide spoon and allow it to cook then your healthy tasty sathumaavu paniyaaram ready,
When u try for the first time try with low quantity and check everyone eating then follow high quantity amount
Note karupatti,Kambu and ghee all gives more strength this is our parents and grand Parents strength .
