Kambu (Pearl Millet) idiyaapam

Before going through the recipe let us know whats the main use of pearl millet which is kambu in tamil.it mainly improves digestion that's constipation. Rich in fiber ,iron content.Suits for all age people that's the plus.Aged people,few adults and some kids mostly suffering from motion issues as they have slow digestive system.Thus pearl millet is magical boon for them.It makes the bowel movement easy to expell the fasces come out easily. dont think rubbish by the open explanations because people who were suffering above will only understand it and they got a super solution for their issues.Diabetes people can strongly include this in their food chain.It controls the sugar level,Diet people can maintain their weight and gain some energy by intaking this in their regular diet.







The mainthing is we need to change our food habit and to reduce junk foods to live happily in a healthy way.This pearl millet our grandparents boosting recipe they regularly include in their food chain.That why our grand parents and our parents are more healthy than us.So we too can live like them in a healthy way with great immunes.

Pearl Millet we can make many recipes like Idiyappam,Puttu,Thalicha Idiyappam,sweet laddu,Kaara paniyaaram,dosa,Rava kambu dosa,Sweet kambu dosa or roti and many more

Idiyappam a fastest and instant recipe we already know the basics of Idiyappam the same concept we are going to follow it will take 5mins for preparing Idiyappam dough,cooking 5-7 mins maximum 10 mins depending upon ur idly vessel or cooker. Within 15-20mins recipe will be ready.idiyaapam will cook fast than idly the color have to change and cooked well thats more important.

Ingredients:

4 cups of Kambu maavu(pearl millet)
Salt a pinch
oil 1-2 teaspoon  for softness to avoid dryness of Idiyappam
Water required amount

Concept
Take a vessel Boil 4glass of water add salt to it.Let the water boil for 3mins

take a big mixing bowl add oil then 1glass of hot water. mix oil and water will with a steel spoon as its hot

then add the Pearl millet flour and add hot water then and there mix well.

For Idiyappam the dough has to be little bit soft not more watery soft

If the dough more soft Idiyappam will not set the shape properly as it may dissolve the shapes

so if its watery soft add some flour not more solid thick semi hard conisitency.Once you practice regularly you can easily learn it.I too commit mistake when I tried for first time as I did more watery.when it cooked it not that much good as its mushy.

Next time I add extra flour little bit thick so idiyappam came in perfect shape.

Before making Idiyappam dough pre heat idly vessel with high flame inwhich water has to be filled and steamed well.

As Dough ready prepare the idiyappam mold and design it. If you use wet cloth in Idiyappam plate idiyappam never sticks to it.

once the water boiled well in idly vessel.Keep the flame medium or low.you can steam cook Idiyappam.I keep one plate inside idly vessel and keep next plate once the first plate cooked well.So it cook fast.

I mold idiyappam in large quantity in the idly plate as I keep one plate only inside.it cook very fast.during cooking time next idiyappam mold the squeeze it as usual and fill the design in the next plate.

So when it cooked well transfer to plate or a bowl serve with Grated coconut ,Jaggery or karuppatti with gingelly oil or else with coconut milk with Jaggery.

For this recipe Normal sugar won't suits as side dish

So you tasty healthy Kambu Idiyappam ready fastly
